A report that can account for itself.
Corrections happen. What matters is whether anyone can tell what the report said, and when. InspectSOP never lets a published report change without a visible, dated trail.
This report was revised on Jul 13, 2026 (Rev 2). Originally issued Jul 6, 2026.
Every correction is a revision, not a rewrite
When something needs to change after a report is published, InspectSOP marks it as a numbered, dated revision on the same link your client already has. Nothing changes quietly.
- A dated “Rev N” banner appears on the report and the PDF the moment a correction is published.
- The original issue date is frozen the first time a report publishes and never moves, no matter how many revisions follow.
- Every past version stays in an immutable archive. Nothing is silently overwritten or deleted.
Not even the company that owns the report can quietly edit the record
The revision date and badge aren’t just UI. They’re enforced at the database level, so a direct edit attempt is rejected the same way an unauthorized one would be.
- A revision’s date and badge cannot be backdated or altered after the fact.
- The report an agent or lender viewed last month is provably the same report they can view today, or shows exactly what changed and when.
A clear record when a report gets questioned
If a report is ever questioned by a client, an agent, an attorney, or a carrier, the question is rarely whether the inspector was right. It’s what the report actually said, and when it said it. InspectSOP keeps that answer unambiguous.
- One public link, every version accounted for.
- A record that doesn’t depend on anyone remembering to keep good notes.
