Can I import from Spectora or HomeGauge?
Yes. InspectSOP imports your existing templates from Spectora and HomeGauge exports. Categories, items, defect narratives, and severity mappings all transfer. Worth knowing: Spectora acquired HomeGauge in April 2025 — they are now the same company. InspectSOP is independently owned and operated.
What happens after my 2 free inspections?
After your 2 free inspections you'll be prompted to choose a plan. If you don't, your account is paused — your data is never deleted. You can reactivate at any time.
Do I need an iPad?
No. InspectSOP works on any iOS or Android device. The two-column layout activates automatically on screens wider than 600dp (iPad and large Android tablets). Phone users get the same full feature set.
How does the AI narrative work?
Tap the mic and describe what you observe. InspectSOP transcribes your voice and generates a professional description, observation, and recommendation — with a severity suggestion. The AI is context-aware: it knows the category, item, property age, and defect name, so every narrative fits the situation.
Is my inspection data private?
